There’s nothing ground-breaking about this Joy Formidable album, other than maybe a really silly band name paired with a really silly album name (A Balloon Called Moaning. I mean, c’mon.). But man do they put on a clinic for how to use guitars and bar chords (perhaps you should pay attention, Billy Corgan). Completely satisfying front-to-back, with this song being a particular highlight.
